LHY FMC + Lumin X1 over Fiber Optic

One of our customers recently upgraded their high-end audio system with the LHY FMC (Fibre Media Converter)paired with the Lumin X1 streamer, and the results have been nothing short of impressive. By implementing a Fiber Optic Ethernet connection, the setup effectively isolates network noise, delivering a significantly cleaner signal path to the streamer.
The LHY FMC plays a crucial role in this configuration—converting standard copper Ethernet to optical, to the SFP port of the Lumin X1. This helps eliminate electrical noise and EMI from the network, allowing the Lumin X1 to perform at its full potential.
This setup showcases how even the network path can impact audio quality in a revealing system.
