LHY Bluesound Node PSU kit: A Bargain For Its Impact On Your Sound!
Installed the Node2 upgrade with the LPS25VA power supply. The installation was not difficult, and I can’t even begin to adequately describe the dramatically improved sound quality. I listened carefully to familiar tracks for two hours. EVERYTHING about the sound is better than before, and it was pretty damn good to begin with. But now, It’s dead quiet, there’s more space in the music and the instruments have more definition, the bass seems to have more impact and is better defined, and the overall dynamics are improved.
I almost upgraded from the Node2 to the Eversolo DMP-A6...for $850. This kit was $279, and I really couldn't imagine anything sounding significantly better with my system.
System: Modified Node 2 and power supply, recapped Sony TAE 86 preamp I've had for 40+ years, Carver 1.0t MkII amplifier w Opt 2 modification, ADS 1230 speakers.
